Happy Sugar Holidays!

Another T.A.G. Holiday Event has happened with great creativity and fun!

Amazing Sugar Art was Created - including this functioning Top created from Candy!

And it seems that a good time was had by all!
This was the final T.A.G. event for 2011 - we will be kicking off the new year with our first ever Alumni Meeting - Current T.A.G. folk will host Alumni for a special meeting on January 7th.
There will be much more T.A.G. happenings in the new year - we hope you will visit us again in 2012!

Not-Quite-Halloween Party Fun!

Huge thanks to the Lovely Ladies who came to T.A.G.'s "It's Not Easy Bein' Greens" event!

As you can see the night lived up to it's name for these veggies and fruits!

And the movie was a big inspiration too!
I hope everyone enjoyed their evening as much as I did - I love that movie!

Not-Quite-Halloween Party!!

T.A.G. Cleans Up!

This past weekend was the Friends of the Library Book Sale!
And after the sale was the Clean UP!
There were not TONS of books left after the Sale,
but T.A.G. was there to help!

The books were put in boxes to make transporting them easier.

Then they were taken to a recycling bin, all the cardboard boxes were recycled too!

And a triumphant T.A.G. rejoiced at a job well done!
T.A.G. is gearing up for several fall events and has more READ posters to share as well, so check back soon to see what T.A.G. is up to!

September T.A.G. Event

Teen Summer Program - Wraps UP!

And so the Teen Summer Program 2011 ends with prizes, games, movies and food.
I hope everyone enjoyed themselves - it was quite a memorable evening!

Back to the 80's

Teens are invited to join T.A.G. for a Double Feature Friday on July 29th! We will be showing two movies from the 80s - Back to the Future AND Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. There will be lots of snacks, prizes to win and fun to be had! Doors open at 6:30 -hope to see you there!

Delicious Dessert Sushi at Asia Nigh

Wow! Ancient Asia night was so much fun!

Austin gave a wonderful presentation on Asia, featuring China, foot binding and Mao, very informative and interesting.

And as you can see the teens created some amazing dessert sushi as well!
T.A.G. will be hosting a double feature Friday soon, so come back for more information later in the week.

T.A.G.'s next Teen Summer Program is happening soon!
Friday, July 15th will be our fourth event - the summer is zooming by!
At this event teens are invited to hear a brief history of China by our own Austin Kalkins, watch the wonderful story of Mulan, and create some delicious dessert sushi!
Doors will be opening at 6:30 - we hope to see you then!

Amazing Masques and More!

What a WONDERFUL night we had!
We had a whole swamp full of gators.
The movie was magical and the crafters were SO creative!They seemed to have a grand time creating as well.

A whole table full of amazing art was just some of the work that went on!

On The Bayou!

Next up for the Teen Summer Program is On the Bayou! A movie and craft night for teens at the library.

There will be an Instant Gratification booth on Wednesday, June 22nd from 5 to 7 p.m. so if you have not signed up for the Teen Summer Program come in then to be a part of the fun - and Prize Winning!!

Dinosaur Night!

T.A.G. invites all areas teens to this second Teen Summer Program event.
Teens can sign up for the Program, earn two stamps on their current cards and enjoy two fun movies! There will be snacks and beverages provided by the Friends of the Library too!

T.A.G. Turns Four!

T.A.G. was at the library this past Sunday to finish decorating the Teen Corner for the Teen Summer Program ...

And to eat a bit (the mac & cheese was especially good)

And to 'formally' celebrate T.A.G.'s 4th year - the birthday party was a great idea Austin!
We'll be working on the next Teen Summer Program event soon - but if you want to get signed up stop by Wednesday evening (June 8th, 15th or 22nd) from 5 to 7 and we'll have the Instant Gratification booth up and running.

Costume Ball Fun!

The Teen Summer Program has begun at the Ketchikan Public Library!T.A.G. members got in early and got the basics of the decorations for the Teen Corner done - note the amazing flying saucers!
Once the room was set, the food put out and the rest of the room readied we let folks in to sign up.

Of course that wasn't all that was happening - there was dancing and chatting and food and fun. The first batch of prizes were handed out and hopefully a good time was had by all.

The Instant Gratification booth will be up and running Wednesday June 8th, 15th & 22nd if you didn't make it to the Ball there is still plenty of time to sign up and we will be posting about our next event soon!

RaWR IV Fun!

Join T.A.G. for our Fourth Annual RaWR - Readings and Wild Recitations!
This year not only will we have the usual verbal sharing of favorite poems, quotes and passages (your own or others work) but we also welcome music!
Any acoustic or a cappella song is welcome!
T.A.G. members will be bringing deserts to share and the Friends of the Library will be providing beverages, so come enjoy - and RaWR with T.A.G.
