T.A.G. members will be among the many groups taking part in the T.A.L.K. (Teens and Adults Linking in Ketchikan) program tonight presented by PATCHWorks in the Kayhi Commons at 6:00 p.m. The discussion will be focusing on a "Safe Place to Gather" for Ketchikan's youth.
The Library is aware of the lack of spaces for teens in Ketchikan, our own "Teen Corner" is a pretty tiny space, though it is filled with excellent books. We have plans for a much bigger teen space in our new library - and are working hard toward that goal.
It will be great to hear what other groups are doing and planning. Hopefully we will have a productive evening, I am sure it will be interesting. Maybe we will see YOU there!

I went! I loved it. We have such a dynamic, diverse group of teens, and i like that this factor was brought up at T.A.L.K. as something that's important for success in youth programs.
Hell yes!
(or Heck yes... how sensored do these comments need to be? I suggest a "basic rules of blogdom" blog be posted next.)
